Michelle and Stuart dreamed of having their own small vineyard where their family could meet, and a place to host guests after spending time visiting wineries in through out Europe and Oceania with their family.

 

In the mid 90’s Stuart embarked on a successful career in New Zealand’s FMCG industry, then leaving his home country with his family and following an expatriate career in a multinational company in the food industry, he became an avid wine enthusiast completing WSET level 1 & 2.

 

After living away for 14 years, with his family in Asia and Europe traveling more than 130 days a year and spending much of his time in airports, airplanes and hotels, he wanted a place to be able to spend more time with his family.  

 

Passionate about interior design, home cooking and an eye for detail Michelle has had her own interior design business in New Zealand before heading offshore and foundered a successful award winning homeware store in Asia.

 

After years of searching for a property with potential they discovered a renowned 6 acre “Mt Rosa Lodge” property in Gibbston 20 minutes drive from Queenstown. It was immediately clear that this was a prospect with unlimited potential the family could enjoy and learn from.
