You are encouraged to make use of our outdoor petanque court for entertainment. During the summer months, our terrace and sheltered open-air courtyard offer the perfect setting for basking in the sun, while in the winter, you can relish extended conversations by the lounge's fireplace or beneath the starry skies at our outdoor fire pit. The communal area is accessible from 8:00-19:00.
Our Vineyard & Wine
Our wine, La Bella Rosa, is crafted exclusively from the Pinot Noir grapes cultivated at the Mt Rosa Lodge vineyard, specifically clone 777. This Pinot Noir made its debut in 2008, marking the inaugural vintage from this small, distinctive, and privately owned single vineyard site.

We take immense pride in having Alan Brady, the founder of Gibbston Valley Wines, as our winemaker. La Bella Rosa is meticulously produced on a small scale, yielding just 4-5 barrels annually.
Our Experiences
Explore local vineyards, savour wine tastings, and enjoy the scenic journey. You're also welcome to join various viticultural activities held throughout the year at our vineyard. Moreover, we can assist with reservations and transportation arrangements in our local region, including Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wanaka, and Cromwell to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Stargazing At The Lodge
At Mt Rosa Lodge, we present astronomy packages featuring our local astronomer, Professor Brian Boyle.
With more than 35 years of professional experience in astronomy, Brian managed Australia's two largest professional observatories and played a pivotal role in the discovery of Dark Energy.
